Welcome to Season 2023/2024

Dear Parents, Players, and Families,

I know it is still the middle of winter, but I would like to extend a warm welcome to our Leichhardt Wanderers cricketing family for the upcoming 2023-2024 cricket season.

Player and Coach Registration will open next week (we will send an email with the links once they are "live"), but here's what you can look forward to this season:

• Training Sessions: Our coaches will focus on improving skills and game strategies for players of all levels. Training will once again be primarily based at Blackmore Oval (although council will be working on upgrading the surface at Blackmore, so we might not be able to use the "middle" until at least the 20th October) . Specific times and days are yet to be allocated. Official training will start in mid-October.

• Blasters Cricket: Our most junior players will learn the introductory skills at Blasters Cricket sessions on Friday afternoons at Blackmore Oval. These will run from late October to early December.

• Matches: Once again we'll be participating in various junior and senior competitions: IWHCA + CCA for Seniors Cricket, Sixers Cricket League and possibly North Shore for Girls Cricket and Inner West Harbour and Sixers Cricket League for Boys/Mixed Cricket. The season will begin in mid-October.

• Social Events: Join us for barbecues and other fundraising initiatives throughout the season to foster friendships and build that special Leichhardt community spirit!

• Volunteer Opportunities: We invite you to contribute your skills and support to our club's growth and success.

• Partnership Opportunities: If you are involved in a local business, we'd like to discuss with you how partnering with Leichhardt Wanderers and our hundreds of members and families could boost your business profile.
